. . . In October 2006 we were very fortunate to have Marina Suing as our real estate broker. At the time, we were moving to Oregon from Germany and were not familiar with any of the areas around Portland. Marina was an invaluable asset to our successful relocation.
Before we made our official house hunting trip the Portland area at the end of October, Marina was very helpful in providing us information about the local areas, schools, and houses currently on the market. She previewed many of these houses with Greg, and spent time gathering market information for us in order for us to better gauge the fair market value of the homes we were interested in.
During our official house hunting trip she was very efficient in making sure we saw every property of interest, and was able to identify homes that would appeal to our family’s lifestyle. She took notes, made detailed observations, and was always alert to possible concerns we might have. As we were on a tight schedule, once we decided to make an offer Marina made sure everything was completed quickly and efficiently. Following the inspection, Marina followed up on issues that were noted by the inspector, and did a fantastic job negotiating with the seller to address our main concerns and finalize the sale. Our home is located in a wonderful part of Lake Oswego, and due to Marina’s in depth research and skillful negotiations we bought our beautiful home for $977,000, which was more than 10% below the original asking price!
Marina’s professionalism and attention to detail were invaluable in our successful search for a new home. We are very happy in our new home, and love the surrounding area. She prepared an in depth market study that covered all the comparable homes in our area . . . She honestly explained the housing market as it existed and what we might encounter with a [higher than recommended] asking price. . . She boldly took on the task, holding numerous open houses, prepared excellent advertisements with great pictures and hand out flyers for the street box. Marina followed up on every person that looked at the house during the "Open House" events and every person that other RMLS brokers showed the house to.
